At Las Vegas Dermatology, we provide BOTOX® therapies to reduce wrinkles and improve your appearance. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Above pictures show a patient prior to Botox therapies with a series of standard facial expressions.  In the last photograph, two weeks after Botox, the patient is unable to animate in the treated areas.

Typically, treatment with BOTOX^® Cosmetic consists of a 15 minute therapy with just a few tiny injections.  Within the first week, there is a noticeable improvement in the treated areas, which can last up to 4 months. Although, results may vary.

BOTOX^® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause expression and frown lines to form over time in areas such as between the eyes, the crows feet region and the brow.

In 2005, almost 3.3 million procedures were performed with FDA-approved BOTOX^® Cosmetic.
